The Swinging Wake
This Chamber Has No Windows And No Doors

I've had a new episode recorded and waiting for weeks now. The newfangled Host won't let me upload it.

At some point this will be remedied. Till then...

It's not dinner time yet!

Here, have a granola bar and leave me alone... And don't touch that - that's Daddy's medicine!

This is my friend Dan. If you know me personally you probably know him as well.

On this episode of The Swinging Wake, which we have titled "Dan's Touchin' Barn," the proprietor of said Barn co-hosts with me and picks out all the music. The result is a smattering of what we laughably call "banter" and an assemblage of music I would never have otherwise played for you. It will be horizon-expanding experience for all of us. So enjoy. And as my friend Dan would say, "this could be you. Stay in school."

Yes, I'm still here. So is the show. Consider this the beginning of its second phase, one in which I hope to publish more regularly, and also explore more possibilities of format. In other words, things are going to get even weirder from here out.

And here is what we did on vacation - I'm quite proud of this video but few have seen it. Please enjoy.

Again, a reprieve from the musical and topical selections of Zoe Necrosis as the hosting and DJ duties are assumed by my paramour, Violet DeMent, who last hosted The Swinging Wake precisely one year ago.

Musical selections include Rotersand, Assemblage 23, Black Heart Procession, and much more, and topical discussions touch upon Joseph Gordon-Levitt, formative musical years and the merits of Danny Kaye versus Donald O'Connor.

Don't forget to join us for Potter Day Lite on February 28th - check out details at THIS website.

This episode features the return of The Halos Report, and in an effort to catch up, I get a little carried away.

A great deal of time is herein dedicated to individuals who have shuffled off this mortal coil. I suppose that makes sense, since this is The Swinging Wake.

R.I.P. Rory Markas.
